The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisper, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! This weekend, we are taking time to reflect on everything that is important to us and to give thanks for all the wonderful people and special moments in our lives. Here are some of the things that we are thankful for:
How We Were Raised
We were very lucky to have had loving and special parents, who instilled a sense of self-worth, success, and gratitude in their three children. Our father was born in Italy and came to settle in Canada when he was only 15 years old in search of a better life, launching our family into real estate in the early 1950s. Our mother, too, was a remarkable role model, always giving of herself and less concerned about the return. Our parents taught us both the value of hard work and the significance of generosity towards others. We will never stop being grateful to them for these lessons.
The gratitude for our parents and upbringing is even more pronounced now that we have families of our own. Cathy is proud mother to son Gianluca and daughter Vienna and Tanya is mother to daughters Quinlan and Alissa. We are so thankful to have the profound role of being “mom” to these precious tiny people. Our beautiful children and wonderful husbands, who make our lives feel joyous and fulfilling, are in our hearts this Thanksgiving and every single day.
Our Work Family
We are incredibly lucky to be working with some of the most motivated, warm, and intelligent people in the business. Our Team of agents, administrators, and support staff are some of the best and most talented people we know, and we would not be able to run our business without them. We’re also very thankful for the wonderful clients and members of the community we have the pleasure to meet every day. We truly feel blessed that our working lives are filled with such incredible people, who are not just our colleagues and clients, but our work family.
The Gift of Life
In our community alone, there are hundreds of people each week who require crucial medical procedures, many of which require donated blood. This October, the Rocca Sisters Team is partnering with Canadian Blood Services for Give Life Month. On October 12 our Team will be making a donation of blood at the Burlington Clinic, located at 1250 Brant St, to show our gratitude for the life-saving services we often take for granted. Please join us by donating all month long and tell them that the Rocca Sisters sent you! Visit www.blood.ca to book an appointment.
From our family to yours, the Rocca Sisters Team hopes you have a joyful and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend, filled with love, gratitude and, of course, great food!
