Between 2001 and 2011, Milton was the fastest growing municipality in Canada, with a 71.4% increase in population in 2006 and another 56.5% increase in 2011. The area’s population is expected to grow to 228,000 by 2031.

Located 40 km west of downtown Toronto, the town is nestled alongside the picturesque Niagara Escarpment and offers old-fashioned warmth and hospitality to visitors, residents and businesses.

The town has very easy access to the entire Golden Horseshoe by Highways 401 and 407. There are passenger services from GO Transit and Via Rail, and is close in proximity to Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Milton transit also offers a variety of convenient and accessible options to get you to your work, school, play, appointment and shopping destinations.

The Town of Milton has experienced explosive growth over the past few years. While most of the development is suburban in nature, larger industrial lots are being developed closer to the Escarpment. The major industries in Milton are automotive, advanced manufacturing, distribution and food production.

Residential growth has increased substantially over the past several years due to the completion of “The Big Pipe” project; designed to deliver water to the town from Lake Ontario. Since then Milton has developed several new dynamic subdivisions. With all the conveniences of a big city but with a small town attitude, Milton is a perfect choice.
