Like the Morrison neighbourhood, Ford is bordered to the south by Lake Ontario, and is an established community with mature tree-lined streets. Nearly all of the homes here are single-family detached homes, many of which are two-storey, four bedroom homes with double garages on lots that average 100ft by 60ft lots. The majority of homes were built between 1961 and 1980, with another 15% being custom homes under 10 years old. The average annual household income is over $285,000 per year. The age of residents here is fairly evenly split, with no one age group significantly more represented than any other. 16% of the population is over the age of 65, and 58% are between 20 and 64 years old. Children under the age of 9 make up approximately 10% of the population.
